Esmeralda Perez Hurt, Beatriz Curiel Dies in Live Oak Car Crash on Highway 99 at Ivy Street

 
LIVE OAK, CA (September 29, 2022) — Beatriz Montero Curiel died while Esmeralda Perez was injured in a two-car accident on Ivy Street at Highway 99.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 4:22 p.m. on September 17. For unknown reasons, Perez’s northbound vehicle collided with Curiel’s southbound car that was attempting a left-hand turn onto Ivy Street.
 
Responding authorities found Perez’s red Jeep Grand Cherokee and Curiel’s brown Toyota Camry at the scene.
 
Authorities found Curiel, who was not wearing a seatbelt, with fatal injuries.
 
Authorities later took Perez to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries.
 
At this time, the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office has not determined the leading cause of this fatal crash. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm unclear details.
