23-Year-Old Man Dies after Car Overturns on Highway 108-120 in Oakdale

 
OAKDALE, CA (January 15, 2023) – Eriqjames Wilson died in a rollover crash in Oakdale Saturday night last week on January 7.
 
The fatal crash happened on Highway 108-120 near Lancaster Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, Wilson was driving a 2000 Audi westbound at approximately 70 mph. He was passing another motorist when the Audi hydroplaned and left the roadway.
 
The Audi then overturned, ejecting Wilson, who was not wearing a seat belt.
 
Responding paramedics rushed Wilson to Doctors Medical Center, where he died Monday. He was 23 years old, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.
 
Wilson’s passengers, men ages 27 and 19, were wearing their safety restraints and only had minor injuries. They were not hospitalized.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. This fatality is still under investigation.
