SUNLAND, CA (October 6, 2023) — An elderly woman was hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Sunland Boulevard near Wyngate Street.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened early Thursday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck the elder in the 10500 block of Sunland Boulevard before driving off. Subsequently, a second car struck the pedestrian, but that driver pulled over and waited for the authorities to arrive.
 
By 5:30 a.m., police and paramedics responded to the scene to tend to the victim who died shortly thereafter.
 
At this time, officials do not have the deceased victim’s name or understand the details of the accident. However, an investigation into this information should reveal more.
