BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 12, 2023) — Efrain Ruezga died in a forklift accident on Highway 99 near Panama Lane.
 
According to the Kern County Coroner’s Office, the fatal crash happened around 12:38 p.m. on October 4. For an unknown reason, the 24-year-old lost control of his vehicle and collided with an unoccupied forklift.
 
Reports did not specify whether the forklift was mobile or stationary during the impact.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived and took him to Kern Medical Center where he passed away.
