Edward Johnson Detained in Deadly DUI Pedestrian Crash on Stockton Boulevard at Lawrence Drive

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 25, 2021) — Edward Johnson was arrested in a fatal DUI pedestrian accident on Stockton Boulevard at Lawrence Drive Wednesday afternoon.
 
According to the Sacramento Police, the pedestrian crash happened around 3:30 p.m. For DUI-related reasons, 76-year-old Johnson ran a red traffic light at the intersection. Subsequently, his sedan struck a minivan and a male pedestrian.
 
Due to the crash, the pedestrian suffered major injuries and died moments later at a hospital. Meanwhile, the driver in the minivan dodged harm while Johnson and his passenger suffered minor injuries.
 
Following the investigation, police arrested Johnson and booked him into Sacramento County Main Jail on DUI charges.
