Eddie Rodriguez Jr. Killed, Bonnie Eule Involved in Semi-Truck Crash on Highway 99 near Cone Grove Road

 
RED BLUFF, CA (May 17, 2021) — Eddie Rodriguez Jr. died in a big rig accident on Highway 99 near Cone Grove Road Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 12:40 a.m.
 
Rodriguez tried to pass up a slower-moving car with his 2008 Ford. However, his northbound vehicle came across a southbound Freightliner, driven by 53-year-old Bonnie Eule.
 
As a result, both vehicles collided, sending both cars to opposite sides of the highway. Although 24-year-old Rodriguez was wearing his seatbelt, he died in the accident.
 
At this time, officers believe that DUI may have contributed to the accident. However, if anyone has more clarification on this crash, please contact the CHP.
