Driver Injured, Train Strikes Truck on 5th Street in Sanger

 
SANGER, CA (April 18, 2022) — A driver survived after a train hit a truck on 5th Street near Academy Avenue on Saturday.
 
According to surveillance footage, a truck heading eastbound on 5th Street collided with an oncoming train near Academy Avenue, even despite the driver’s attempt to stop. According to the footage, the street has no railroad crossing gates or crossing arms to signal oncoming traffic.
 
Thankfully, no one inside the truck suffered any critical injuries. However, the extent of the victim’s injuries remains unclear. If anyone has information surrounding this accident, please contact the Sanger Police Department.
