Fatal Fiery Accident on Culver Drive in Irvine

 
IRVINE, CA (March 15, 2021) – A driver died Wednesday morning after a fiery car accident on Culver Drive at Warner Avenue.
 
According to the Irvine Police Department, the accident happened around 6:40 a.m. on March 10. A vehicle was traveling south on Culver Drive when it left the roadway for unknown reasons. It then struck a tree and caught fire.
 
First responders found the driver, who was a sole occupant of the vehicle, dead inside.
 
Information was not immediately available on the identity or gender of the victim.
 
Southbound lanes of Culver Drive were closed in the area while an investigation was conducted.
 
It is unknown at this time if speed, drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
