Driver Dies in Car Crash on Beech Avenue in Fontana

 
FONTANA, CA (June 27, 2022) — A driver died in a 2-car accident on Beech Avenue at Highland Avenue on Wednesday.
 
According to reports, the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 5:04 a.m. on June 22. For unknown reasons, a MINI Cooper and a Hyundai Elantra collided at the intersection. Due to the impact, the MINI Cooper subsequently crashed into a light pole and an electric box on the northeast corner where it caught on fire.
 
Upon responding to the scene, San Bernardino County Fire/Medics extinguished the flames and found the driver dead at 5:20 a.m.
 
As for the driver of the Hyundai Elantra, he or she reported no injuries.
 
At this time, authorities have not released the cause of the crash and the 34-year-old fatal victim’s name. However, we will update this report once we garner more information.
