THERMAL, CA (September 27, 2021) — A big rig collision on Highway 86 at 62nd Avenue in Thermal left one person injured Friday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident involved a big rig and a school bus. The two vehicles collided in the center divider at about 6:20 p.m.
 
The aftermath of the crash left the bus blocking the northbound Highway 86. Meanwhile, the big rig rested in the sand in the center divider.
 
Reports indicated that there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the collision. Meantime, officials confirmed that the driver of the big rig sustained minor injuries. However, they did not elaborate on the severity of injuries.
