Fatal Truck Accident on Highway 395 near Deadman Summit and Mammoth Lakes

 
MONO COUNTY, CA (November 16, 2021) – One person died following a rollover truck accident on Highway 395, early Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on November 12, shortly after 5:00 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a Ford F-250 towing a trailer with firewood lost control.
 
Then, the southbound vehicle crossed into the center median and overturned near Deadman Summit and Mammoth Lakes.
 
The impact of the crash ejected the driver, who was not secured in a seatbelt, from the vehicle. Emergency crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
