PHELAN, CA (November 15, 2021) – Two people sustained injuries following a rollover accident on Highway 138, Friday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on November 12 at about 6:16 p.m. A gray Dodge Journey reportedly hit the rear of a horse trailer at the sharp turn of the highway.
 
The impact of the collision caused the Dodge Journey to overturn about a mile from 15 Freeway.
 
Emergency responders had to extricate a woman and a child trapped inside the Dodge Journey. Then, the victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
