DUI Driver Crashes into Big Rig on Highway 99 in Fresno County

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (January 7, 2025) – A driver was arrested in a DUI crash on Highway 99 in Fresno County Saturday evening on January 4.
 
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. at North Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver who allegedly had a bottle of tequila on the floorboard of their car rear-ended the trailer of a big rig.
 
The car then became mangled after the crash.
 
Authorities arrested the driver of the car and transported him to the Fresno County Jail for DUI.
 
CHP officials said no one was killed or seriously injured in the crash.
 
An investigation is underway.
