DUI Driver Involved in Accident on Henderson Street in Eureka

 
EUREKA, CA (June 1, 2021) – Officers arrested a driver following a DUI accident on Henderson Street on May 27.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of F Street.
 
Based on a report, two cars collided in the lanes. Officers said a white BMW was southbound on F Street when it ran a red light. At the same time, a red Kia sedan was westbound on F Street and moving forward on a green light. Subsequently, both cars crashed in the lanes. The Kia came to rest in the middle of the intersection. Then, the BMW rolled onto its roof.
 
As a result, two kids and an adult in the red Kia suffered minor injuries. In addition, the Kia sustained heavy front-end damage.
 
In the end, the Eureka Police Department determined alcohol was a possible factor in the case. At this point, this accident on Henderson Street is still under investigation.
