RIDGECREST, CA (May 23, 2021) — Devin McLaughlin was arrested in a hit-and-run crash at California Avenue and Sunland Street on May 13.
 
According to police, a two-car crash happened around 8:00 p.m. Under unknown conditions, McLaughlin crashed into another driver at the intersection and fled the scene shortly after.
 
Upon arriving, police spoke with the victim, who informed them of McLaughlin’s appearance and injuries. Moments later, the 22-year-old contacted police and informed them that his car had been stolen and involved in an accident.
 
However, his claims only led to his arrest. At this time, McLaughlin remains incarcerated at Central Receiving Facility, facing multiple charges including DUI and hit-and-run. If anyone any more information on this crash, please contact the police.
