Deryk Shaffer Dies after Motorcycle Crash on Big Bear Boulevard near Knickerbocker Road in Big Bear

 
BIG BEAR, CA (March 23, 2022) – Authorities identified 30-year-old Deryk Shaffer of Big Bear City as the motorcyclist killed in an accident on Big Bear Boulevard, Sunday evening.
 
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened on March 20 at about 6:30 p.m. A westbound Toyota sedan reportedly turned left in front of the motorcyclist near Knickerbocker Road.
 
Shaffer then lost control and fell onto the roadway.
 
Emergency crews transported Shaffer to Bear Valley Community Hospital, where he later died.
