Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with SUV in Apple Valley

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (September 6, 2023)Deondre Hearn died in a motorcycle accident in Apple Valley Sunday evening on September 3.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:15 p.m. on Bear Valley Road, just west of Navajo Road. According to the Apple Valley Police Department, 61-year-old Ramon Medina of Apple Valley was driving a tan Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound on Bear Valley Road. At the same time, Hearn was riding a green Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Bear Valley Road from Navajo Road.
 
Medina made a left turn into a shopping center parking lot in front of Hearn, causing the two vehicles to collide.
 
The impact ejected Hern from his motorcycle. He suffered major injuries and died at the scene. He was 24 years old from Hesperia.
 
Medina sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Drugs or alcohol did not play a role in this crash, which is still under investigation.
