Fatal Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Monterey Road in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (May 8, 2023) — A deadly hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Monterey Road near Curtner Avenue left one man dead.
 
According to San Jose police officers, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 11:00 p.m. Friday. Under unclear circumstances, a southbound driver struck a man on Monterey Road. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and left the scene.
 
Investigators believe a second driver might have struck the victim, too.
 
Minutes later, paramedics arrived at the scene to tend to the gravely injured. However, the man perished in the crash. Authorities need the public’s help with determining the events leading to the crash and identifying the driver’s whereabouts.
