Man Dies after Hit by Pickup Truck on Myrtle Street in Chester

 
CHESTER, CA (December 30, 2022) – David Oliver died in a pedestrian accident in Chester Wednesday morning on December 28.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 11:45 a.m. on Myrtle Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2021 Dodge Ram pickup truck towing a utility trailer struck Oliver in unclear circumstances.
 
The impact caused Oliver fatal injuries and he died at the scene. He was 75 years old from Chester.
 
The driver of the pickup, 72-year-old Sandra Oliver, was unhurt.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the fatality. They said impairment was not a factor and no arrests were made at this time.
