Multi-Vehicle Crash in Baldwin Hills Kills Man and Woman

 
BALDWIN HILLS, CA (March 11, 2024) – David Coleman II and Karrington Coleman were killed in multi-vehicle accident in Baldwin Hills Saturday afternoon on March 9.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:56 p.m. at La Brea Avenue and Coliseum Street. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the pair were in a Mercedes-Benz that was heading northbound on La Brea Avenue when it hit a car that was waiting in the left turn lane. The Mercedes then flipped from the impact and hit at least two other cars.
 
First responders found the pair trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters extricated them and attempted life-saving measures, but both died at the scene.
 
David Coleman II was 52 years old, while Karrington Coleman was 23 years old of Norwalk, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
 
No other injuries were reported.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
