Motorcyclist Dies after Struck by Car in Lancaster
LANCASTER, CA (October 21, 2023) – Darnell Kina Hines was killed in a motorcycle accident in Lancaster Wednesday afternoon on October 18.
The fatal accident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Avenue K near 15th Street East. According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, Hines was riding his motorcycle westbound on Avenue K when a woman driving a Mazda sedan eastbound on Avenue K made a northbound turn onto 15th Street East.
The sedan then struck the motorcycle, ejecting Hines onto the roadway.
Hines was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a 45-year-old Lancaster resident, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
At this time, it is unknown if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
