81-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Valley Boulevard in West Covina

 
WEST COVINA, CA (January 9, 2023) – Cristobal Arana died in a pedestrian accident in West Covina Saturday afternoon on January 7.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:00 p.m. on Valley Boulevard, just between Clubhouse Drive and Sentous Avenue. According to the West Covina Police Department, Arana was walking outside of a crosswalk when a car struck him.
 
The impact caused the victim fatal injuries and he died at the scene. He was 81 years old, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. His city of residence was not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the car remained on scene and cooperated with authorties.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. An investigation is ongoing.
