Christian Howard Injured in Motorcycle Accident at Mono Way [Sonora, CA]

Christian Howard Hospitalized, Laurie Fogata Uninjured in Sonora Motorcycle Crash

 
SONORA, CA (October 18, 2022) — Christian Howard was injured in a motorcycle accident at Mono Way and Tuolumne Road on Thursday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle crash happened around 12:40 p.m. For unknown reasons, 55-year-old Howard failed to stop behind a stopped 2014 Honda Accord at the intersection. As a result, the 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle struck the rear of a Honda, ejecting Howard, of Oakley, off the bike.
 
Due to the accident, Howard suffered major injuries and was brought to Adventist Health Sonora by ground ambulance. The driver of the Honda, 63-year-old Laurie Fogata of Jamestown, escaped harm.
 
Authorities learned that Howard was not wearing a DOT-approved helmet, and Fogata was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
