Christian ChavezLainez Detained, 2 Hurt in Pedestrian Crash at Edison Street and Hillsdale Boulevard

 
SAN MATEO, CA (December 15, 2023) — Christian ChavezLainez was arrested in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Edison Street and Hillsdale Boulevard.
 
According to the San Mateo Police Department, the hit-and-run happened around 9:00 p.m. on December 12. For an unknown reason, 30-year-old ChavezLainez fled the scene after hitting two pedestrians walking in a crosswalk near the Hillsdale Shopping Center.
 
One victim was able to take a picture of the vehicle, a black Toyota Corolla. Shortly after, paramedics arrived and treated both victims at the scene while authorities located the Toyota in Belmont with the driver inside. Officers subsequently arrested ChavezLainez and booked him into the San Mateo County Jail for felony hit-and-run.
