Motorcycle Officer Suffered Injuries in a Car Crash on Christmas Tree Lane

 
FRESNO, CA (December 29, 2021) — A motorcycle officer had injuries after a car accident on Christmas Tree Lane on Tuesday, December 21.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at about 10:40 p.m. near the intersection of Lansing Way and Van Ness Boulevard.
 
Officials say the officer entered the intersection with his emergency lights and sirens activated as he tried to clear out congested traffic in the area.
 
At the same time, a truck allegedly drove into the intersection and crashed with the officer. The impact ejected him from his motorcycle.
 
The officer had minor injuries and the driver of the truck was not hurt in the incident.
 
The driver remained at the scene after the crash and cooperated with investigators.
 
There is no other information released by authorities at this time.
