2 Children Hurt in 2-Car Crash at Fork Road in Friant

 
FRIANT, CA (December 19, 2023) — Two children were among five people injured in a head-on accident at Friant Road and Fork Road Monday.
 
According to reports, the two-vehicle crash happened around 11:45 a.m. For unknown reasons, two pickups crashed near the intersection. Shortly after, paramedics responded to the scene to find a black and red truck with considerable front-end damage.
 
The five people injured with varying degrees of severity included a 1-year-old and a 5-year-old who required care. In addition, one person needed to be freed by CalFire from the wreckage.
 
Following the collision, medical personnel transported all patients to a hospital for treatment. At the time of the report, authorities did not confirm the ultimate cause of the crash; however, they believe wet rainy conditions might have precipitated the crash.
