Child on Scooter Struck, Injured by Vehicle on Harbison Canyon Road in Alpine

 
ALPINE, CA (August 15, 2022) — A child on a scooter was hit and injured by a car on Harbison Canyon Road near Bridle Run on Saturday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 8:50 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck the child, believed by CHP officers to be 12-years-old, near Shadow Hills Elementary.
 
Shortly after, paramedics reached the scene and took the victim to a hospital with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening.
 
Meanwhile, police investigated the scene and ruled out drugs and alcohol as possible contributors.
 
Because of the crash, police had to shut down Harbison Canyon Road for about 20 minutes. If anyone has more information on this accident, please contact the CHP.
