Child, Officer Among Hospitalized in Wrong-Way Crash on 10 Freeway in Ontario

 
ONTARIO, CA (October 21, 2022) — A child and an officer were among those injured in a wrong-way accident on the 10 Freeway near Archibald Avenue.
 
According to authorities, the multi-vehicle crash happened around Wednesday night. It started when an officer tried to pull over a vehicle around 11:45 p.m. that was related to a theft investigation. However, the driver sped away with three passengers in the car.
 
During the chase, the suspects in the vehicle threw items, including a bicycle, at the officers. Subsequently, the driver attempted to make a U-turn on the freeway but struck several drivers near Archibald Avenue.
 
Following the crash and chase, paramedics responded and transported a child to a hospital for precautionary reasons. Two adults who suffered minor injuries, as well as a police officer, received care at a hospital for minor injuries. Meanwhile, investigators arrested all four suspects in the car and took them into custody.
