Child Hospitalized in Bicycle Crash on Cowell Road in Concord

 
CONCORD, CA (June 16, 2023) — A child was injured in a bike accident with a truck on Cowell Road near Treat Boulevard.
 
According to the Concord Police Department, the bicycle crash happened around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday. As the child was riding a bicycle in the crosswalk, a commercial vehicle turning from Treat Boulevard onto Cowell Road struck the young cyclist.
 
Due to the crash, the child suffered injuries to his or her lower leg.
 
Minutes after, Concord police officers and paramedics arrived at the scene and took the child to Oakland Children’s Hospital for immediate care.
