Metro Bus Hits 12-Year-Old Boy near Chandler Boulevard in North Hollywood

 
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (September 14, 2023) – A child was hospitalized after being hit by a bus near Chandler Boulevard and Bellaire Avenue late Monday evening.
 
The crash happened just after 10:00 p.m. on September 11. According to Los Angeles Police Department, the 12-year-old boy was riding a scooter when the Metro bus hit him. The area has designated bus lanes that are not usable by other traffic.
 
The child was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
 
Officers plan to search the bus’ surveillance footage to determine what caused the crash.
