27-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Apple Valley

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (November 26, 2023)Charlie Zamora Urias died in a hit-and-run crash in Apple Valley Sunday evening on November 19.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:12 p.m. on Navajo Road, just south of Sandia Road near the Apple Valley High School. According to the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Station, a silver sedan traveling north on Navajo Road struck Urias who was walking in the northbound lane.
 
While Urias was lying in the roadway, a Chevrolet Traverse also hit him.
 
Urias suffered major injuries and died at the scene. He was 27 years old from Adelanto.
 
The driver of the sedan did not stop. Deputies said it might have front-end damage from the crash. Evidence at the scene also showed the car might have a honeycomb-style front grill.
 
The driver of the Chevrolet, 37-year-old Francisco Taques Revolorio of Apple Valley, stayed on scene.
