Erwin Castillo and Chantika Caston Hurt in Napa Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 29 near Soscol Ferry Road

 
NAPA, CA (February 2, 2022) — Chantika Caston suffered major injuries in a wrong-way accident on Highway 29 near Soscol Ferry Road on Friday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-car crash happened around 11:36 p.m. For DUI-related reasons, Chantika Marie Caston began driving her 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse in the wrong direction. Subsequently, she collided with a southbound 2015 Lexus IS250, driven by Erwin D. Castillo, of Benicia.
 
Soon after, emergency personnel shuttled 28-year-old Caston and 51-year-old Castillo to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment.
 
At this time, detectives believe alcohol played a factor in the accident. However, an ongoing investigation should provide more clarification.
