Ceara Eldride Hospitalized, Keith Miller Involved in Big Rig Accident on Highway 180 near Clovis Avenue

FRESNO, CA (November 21, 2022) Ceara Eldride suffered serious injuries in a semi-truck accident on Highway 180 near Clovis Avenue Saturday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the semi-truck crash happened around 5:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, 19-year-old Eldride was driving at a high rate of speed, unfit for traffic. As her vehicle approached a semi-truck in the far-right lane, her car caught up to the Peterbilt and crashed into its back. As a result, her car overturned, ejecting her from the vehicle.

Responding paramedics found the Fresno woman with major injuries and brought her to a nearby hospital. Reports did not indicate whether 62-year-old Keith Miller — the semi-truck driver — reported any injuries.

At this time, officers do not think alcohol or drugs played a factor in this crash. However, they did confirm that Eldride wasn’t strapped in a seat belt at the time of the impact. If anyone has more to add to this crash, please call the CHP.
