LAKE FOREST, CA (December 2, 2021) — A vehicle sustains damages after a mattress fell off a truck on the 5 Freeway near Highway 73 Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 10:45 a.m. For unknown reasons, a mattress flew off the back of a truck and struck a nearby vehicle. Shortly after, more debris, such as a dining room chair and a large piece of metal, were also found scattered on the 5 North Freeway.
 
Due to the incident, drivers faced a halt on the northbound lanes from Highway 73.
