Head-On Crash in Lancaster Kills 32-Year-Old Hesperia Man
LANCASTER, CA (September 8, 2024) – Cameron Miles was killed in a head-on accident in Lancaster Friday morning on September 6.
The fatal accident happened around 5:20 a.m. at the intersection of 240th Street East and Avenue O. According to the California Highway Patrol, Miles was driving a 2012 Chrysler north on 240th Street East. At the same time, 42-year-old Freddie Rodriguez of Victorville was driving a 2011 Dodge Ram southbound on 240th Street East.
For unknown reasons, Miles crossed the center dividing line and crashed head-on into Rodriguez’s truck.
As a result, Miles suffered fatal injuries and at the scene. He was a 32-year-old Hesperia resident, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
Meanwhile, Rodriguez sustained minor injuries and was taken to Antelope Valley Medical Center.
It was unknown if alcohol and/or drugs played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
