40-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Sterling Avenue near Baseline Street

 
HIGHLAND, CA (January 20, 2023) – Bruce Lombardi Jr. died in a pedestrian accident in Highland early Thursday morning on January 12.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:51 a.m. on Sterling Avenue, just south of Baseline Street.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:51 a.m. on Sterling Avenue, just south of Baseline Street. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the 40-year-old victim from San Bernardino was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
Paramedics responded and found Lombardi lying in the roadway with fatal injuries. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. The SBCSD-Highland Station MAIT unit is investigating the fatality.
