Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in North Hills

 
NORTH HILLS, CA (August 29, 2023) – Brandon Aguilar was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the North Hills area of Los Angeles early Sunday morning on August 27.
 
The fatal crash happened around 1:30 a.m. at Parthenia Street and Whitaker Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Aguilar was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
The driver of the vehicle did not after the crash, leaving Aguilar with fatal injuries.
 
Aguilar, a 37-year-old North Hills resident, was found lying on the roadway near a curb. He died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
 
Suspect information was not available.
 
Authorities offered a standing reward of up to $50,000 for information that helps solve this case.
