Branden McLarty Detained, Jaspar Serrano Involved in Rollover DUI Crash on Sawmill Flat Road near Squabble Town Road

 
SONORA, CA (January 11, 2024) — Branden McLarty faces DUI charges following last week’s overturned accident on Sawmill Flat Road near Squabble Town Road.
 
According to the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, the single-car crash happened on January 3 around 11:30 p.m. For DUI-related reasons, 21-year-old McLarty allowed his 2009 Honda Civic to veer off the road and plow into an embankment. Upon impact, his Honda overturned and came to a stop on its roof. Both McLarty and his 23-year-old passenger, Jaspar Serrano of Columbia, suffered minor injuries and left the crash site. However, not long after, California Highway Patrol officers spotted the individuals and determined that McLarty was impaired at the time of the crash. Soon after, police officers took him to Tuolumne County Jail and booked him on multiple felony DUI charges.
