Patrol Vehicle Collide with SUV on Calloway Drive in Bakersfield Injuring Two People

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 14, 2023) – A Bakersfield Police Department officer was injured in car accident on Calloway Drive in northwest Bakersfield Wednesday afternoon on November 10.
 
The accident happened around 12:49 p.m. near the intersection with Brimhall Road. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, an officer in a patrol vehicle was going south on Calloway Drive approaching the intersection with Brimhall Road when an SUV heading north on Calloway Drive, turned west across the southbound lanes of Calloway Drive. That caused the patrol vehicle to collide with the SUV.
 
As a result, the officer and the man driving the SUV both sustained minor injuries.
 
Speed and intoxication are not factors in the crash. BPD asked anyone with further information to call 661-327-7111.
