COSTA MESA, CA (August 6, 2022) – A big rig exploded in a multi-vehicle crash on 405 Freeway near the Highway 55 junction on August 3.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred near Red Hill Avenue around 12:28 PM.
 
Based on reports, the truck collided with three vehicles in the lanes. Subsequently, reports notified CHP officers that it overturned. Then, several vehicles, including the semi-truck, caught on fire and exploded on the freeway.
