Car Hits Bicyclist on Main Street in Watsonville Leaving Him on Life Support

 
WATSONVILLE, CA (March 24, 2024) – A bicyclist is on life support after he was hit by a car on Main Street in Watsonville Friday on March 15.
 
The crash happened around 1:00 p.m. near Rodriguez Street. According to the Watsonville Police Department, the 57-year-old man was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a Toyota sedan.
 
Police said that the bicyclist was following the rules of the road when the sedan went off the road way and struck him.
 
First responders rushed the victim to a local trauma center where he is on a life support and fighting to stay alive.
 
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old male driver of the car stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Watsonville Police are still investigating the cause of the crash and factors involved.
