Bicyclist Dies after Colliding with Vehicle on A Street in Perris

 
PERRIS, CA (February 12, 2024) – A bicyclist was killed in a traffic accident at A Street and Redding Way in Perris on Friday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:55 p.m. on February 9. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle was attempting to make a left turn from Redding Way onto A Street when the bicyclist failed to yield at a stop sign and crashed with the front-end of the vehicle.
 
As a result of the crash, the bicyclist suffered with major injuries.
 
Deputies performed life-saving measures, but the bicyclist died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with deputies.
 
At this time, the identity of the bicyclist was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
