Vehicle Hits Bicyclist near L Street in Downtown Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 30, 2024) – A bicyclist was injured after being hit by a vehicle near L Street and 25th Street in downtown Bakersfield on Monday morning.
 
The crash happened around 9:15 a.m. on April 29. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the male bicyclist was riding in the area when a vehicle hit him.
 
Paramedics arrived and took the bicyclist to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
 
It was unknown if the driver of the vehicle stayed after the crash.
 
Police said alcohol or speed do not appear to be a factor at this time. Further investigation is underway.
