Bibiana Retana-Sosa Struck, Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Arlington Heights

 
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, CA (November 15, 2023) – Authorities identified 66-year-old Bibiana Retana-Sosa as the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run collision on Venice Boulevard on Tuesday morning.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened on November 14, at about 6:45 a.m. Retana-Sosa reportedly attempted to cross the road when a vehicle hit her near 12th Avenue.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
 
As per reports, the driver of the vehicle failed to render and immediately fled the area.
 
Investigators described the vehicle as a 2020 white Mazda CX-5 Crossover with the license plate 8XHG132. There was no description of a suspect immediately available.
