WASCO, CA (January 22, 2024) — At least one person suffered injuries in a head-on accident on Highway 43 near Whisler Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-car crash happened Friday evening. For an unknown reason, a pickup truck and a gray sedan collided head-on around 5:18 p.m. Soon after, CHP investigators arrived to find one person unconscious. Due to the victim’s condition, paramedics took the individual to Kern Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries.
 
At the time of the report, officials did not release an explanation for the crash or if speed, distracted driving or DUI factored into the cause. If anyone has additional information, please call the CHP.
