FULLERTON, CA (March 26, 2024) — At least one person suffered minor injuries in a fiery big rig accident on the 57 Freeway near Imperial Highway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the truck crash happened around 8:00 a.m. Monday. For unknown reasons, a big rig driver lost control on the northbound 57 Freeway, crashed through the center divider and ended up on the southbound side.

As a result, one car sustained damage from flying debris. Soon after, paramedics and police arrived, tending to one person with minor injuries.

At the time of the report, traffic investigators did not say what led to the crash. However, they are looking into the details to identify the cause.

Bear in mind helpful tips to avoid a big rig collision. Because these trucks are large and heavy, they require more space and time when traveling and turning. Thus, stay out of their blind spots, never cut too closely in front of them and give them room.
