BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 14, 2023) — At least one person was injured in a big rig accident involving a car on Highway 58 near Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident happened Friday night. For an unknown reason, a semi-truck and a black Nissan Altima collided around 9:19 p.m. Minutes later, CHP officers arrived at the scene and found both vehicles with major damage.
 
Reports noted that one person’s arm sustained an injury and that a person was taken away to a hospital.
 
At this time, traffic investigators have not said what led to the accident, but an ongoing investigation should confirm these facts.
