SANTA CRUZ, CA (February 19, 2024) — At least one person died after a car crashed down a ravine off Eureka Canyon Road near Las Colinas Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 12:10 p.m. Sunday. A driver lost control for unknown reasons, causing the vehicle to crash 50 feet down a ravine. Soon after, firefighters responded and found at least one person with fatal injuries.
 
In addition to this crash, another person passed away on Eden Canyon Road near Hollis Canyon. This crash occurred around 1:59 p.m. and the Alameda County Coroner’s Office responded around 2:24 p.m.
 
At this time, authorities do not have information on both deadly accidents, but an investigation is underway.
