Antonio Lopez Killed in Hit-and-Run on Western Avenue [Koreatown, CA]

45-Year-Old Man Dies in Early Morning Hit-and-Run Crash in Koreatown

 
KOREATOWN, CA (January 1, 2023) – Antonio Lopez died in a hit-and-run crash in Koreatown early Thursday morning on December 29.
 
The fatal crash happened around 12:50 a.m. on Western Avenue, just north of Wilshire Boulevard. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, an unknown vehicle was traveling southbound on Western when it struck Lopez who was walking outside of a marked crosswalk.
 
After the crash, the motorist drove away without stopping.
 
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics tried to save Lopez, but he died at the scene.
 
Lopez was 45 years old from Los Angeles.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large. Police are still investigating the fatality.
