41-Year-Old Homeless Man Dies after Struck by Train in Whittier

 
WHITTIER, CA (February 10, 2022) – Angles Ruedas died after struck by a freight train in the Whittier area on Tuesday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 8:00 a.m. on February 8, near Pioneer Boulevard and Rivera Road. According to the Whittier Police Department, Ruedas was either standing or walking on the tracks when the train struck him.
 
Ruedas suffered major injuries from the crash and died at the scene. He was a 41-year-old homeless man.
 
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unknown at this time. Further investigation is underway.
